Did you know:

September is National Recovery Month! 2019 is the 30th anniversary of this celebration. Gravity Diagnostics proudly partners with many addiction treatment practices.

National Recovery Month celebrates those 23 million Americans who are recovering from addiction, as well as those who are struggling to seek treatment. Every September, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) advocates Recovery Month to spread awareness and recognize mental and substance use disorders (SUD’s) and honor those who are recovering/recovered.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of National Recovery Month, Recovery Month introduced a logo that depicts the true meaning and values of celebrating recovery month. The new logo features an “r” symbol, “r” for recovery and the need to maintain the millions of those who are proudly recovering, in addition to their families and loved ones.

This is a great time to encourage your patients, friends, and family members to share and recognize their recovery story. Inspire those who are still in need of services and support, and always continue to praise those who have recovered.

There are more than 200 federal, state, and local government programs, in addition to nonprofit organizations that recognize the prevention, recovery and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. These planning partners assist and corroborate with SAMHSA in the development and promotion of recovery month events in local communities.

September is the month that nationally recognizes and congratulate those who are seeking recovery or who have successfully rehabilitated.
